*Crucial!*
What is the difference, and why does this exist that the common clear plastic liner for cereals and the gray/silver liner (for cereals such as Apple Jacks) exist??? Is the gray bag better for something? Are Apple Jacks and the cereals alike, weak in some way?

Or, are the gray bags just to keep us from knowing how much is left in the bag?

It is of the highest level of need possible for late night thinking that I get some sort of an answer for this dilemma. Thank you to any kind soul supplying insight on this matter.

May your cereal never get mushy; unless you like it that way...then by all means let it be so.
