Hi: Is Olive Pomace Oil 100 percent healthy for cooking. The restaurant where I eat uses it for all its cooking.

I am an octogenarian and very careful about what I am eating. I read a report from New Zeland that said that olive pomace oil could be carcoinogenic.

I'm concerned.

Pomace olive oil is low grade and used in soap making. It is the last squeze of the olive before they discard it. For health stick to extra vergin olive oil.
