SORRY IF PINE IS UNSEALED ITS THERE FOR GOOD DEPENDING ON TYPE OF OIL BUT MOST ARE PERMENET

spray it with a carb cleaner and soak it up quickly with paper towel. Carb cleaner will work also. be sure to use in a well ventilated area.

Another option is to apply oil to the entire surface to make it uniform. Eventually the oil will soak in. If the treatment is uniform, so will the appearance be uniform. Oils are used to finish wood, and are not uncommon to deal with in furniture care. Your hands have oil in them, and when you touch your furniture, you are leaving a little oil behind. This is why kitchen cabinets get dirty on the corners or around the handles, and the finish eventually breaks down or the oils build up.
