I understand most baking soda has a strong aluminum component and is not recommended for human internal or topical use.
Concern is impact on brain/mental functions.

Any idea of how to get baking soda without the aluminum or a substitute?

Baking powder is sold in most health food stores without the aliuminum...abaking soda can be replaced with a mixture of Cream of tartar and baking powder. Yes I know a big pain..I am trying to make completely organic cookies....it is a challenge! Razz
